A Morsel of Me

My photo
Someone who talks a lot, yet actually a shy one and might come off as indifferent or even cold at one point. A homebody who likes spending her time binge watching tv series or movies, or reading an emotionally exhausting book, yet always been thrilled with outdoor activities. It's quite contradicting, I know

#Latepost Pare, Kediri

So I actually have wanted to post this since forever but due to my own laziness and thanks again for a bunch of assignments, I couldn't do so.

But then I have this journal, which I submitted about two or three months ago, and one of the stories I had written at that time was this. So I thought, why don't I just post this on my blog? And so here I am.

Unfortunately, this story was written for my academic purposes only, and the thing I'm going to do here is just copy-paste it without even re-writing and adding this and that to go into details, NO. So please be warned of dissatisfaction feeling at the end of your reading. (like you will have) *cough*

My aim here is just to share my experience regarding my holiday that I've spent in Kediri, hence if anyone accidentally coming here and hoping to get any information that will help, I'm not sure this post will help tho..

Anyway, happy reading!

My Unforgettable Holiday
(a/n. yea I have no idea why I put my oh-so-creative title here)

My last holiday was wonderful and really memorable. I went to Kediri this early year for about two weeks to spend at a place called Kampung Inggris. The place itself is originally a village named Pare which has a ton of language courses (mainly English), hence the name is Kampung Inggris which also means English Village. I was there to spend my time learning English to be more advance in the next level. So I took an IELTS Preparation class and a class of speaking that I got for free from my accommodation.
My daily schedule was start at 5 a.m. at camp, which called Excellent Camp, we gathered for one hour to have a small discussion that actually happen twice―early in the morning and later in the evening. Then at 7 in the morning I had an actual class of IELTS Preparation until 10 and continued with speaking class until 12. After 3 hours of break, I came back to IELTS Prep class to spend 2 hours of doing exercise.
Well, I think it seems pretty boring to spend your holiday time studying just like school days. However, the most exciting part was when I spent my two weekends at different places. The first one was my very first experience travelling alone to Malang from Kediri that took me about 3 hours. My destination was to visit and spend a night at my friend’s house and to make her show me around Malang City. Although it was just two days and a night, but I really had a great time visiting her!

At the second weekend I went to Bromo, Tengger, Semeru National Consevation Park with my classmate in IELTS Prep class for a day. Our first destination was to see the sunrise. Sadly, after one hour climbing Mount Pananjakan, we didn't get to see it because the weather did not support and making the fog thick. I know that was pretty bad since we've climbed up to the check point where we could see the sunrise. However, the trip must go on. So we got down and continued to another view point of tourist such as climbing the actual of Mount Bromo and visiting the famous Pasir Berbisik (Sand Whisper). Before we got back, we took a quick visit at Coban Rondo waterfall. It was actually just another pretty high waterfall, but the point is we were all happy to have such a nice and fresh green view that we cannot find when we are in the capital. Surprisingly, at the day when I need to get back to Jakarta I took another quick visit with my classmate to an underground cave not far from where I stay. It was truly unexpectedly amazing and fascinating because that was my first time experiencing a cave that I see nothing other than darkness, and I was forced to bent my body down very low to suits the height of the cave while walking through inside it. I was scared that I might have never see light again and I was so tired from bent myself downwards, but I think it was all worth it. In conclusion, this is probably the most interesting holiday I have ever had with all the experiences and the time learning with new friends, which makes me think I may have another visit to Kediri next time.

That was pretty short, right?
Comment box is always there to welcome you. ^^

By the way.. I've planned to write a post called "Current Obsession", and I really do hope will come out very soon, preferably after my final exam for this term is ended--which is next week. But of course, as a lazy person I am, I haven't make it into draft yet.
It's just basically an additional information for those.. Who knows, anybody actually miss me posting on this dusty and tedious blog?
Oh almost forget! Here are some souvenirs of my memory.. :P
Exactly the time before we climbed.
(a/n. YEA THAT WAS ME IN THE BACKGROUND, K?)
Look at the thick fog there!
Climb, climb, climb~

The view and the stairs were no kidding.
The view here was crazy until I thought I was dumbfounded,
and so was the cold wind, literally cray cray.
We were having fun!!
(a/n. once again, ignore me)

The ladies are here to welcome you!!
Yeahaha finally my only picture!
That was Pasir Berbisik or Lautan Pasir (Sea of Sand)
Basically, all area of Mount Bromo are consist of sand, which is why a pair of closed shoes is strongly advised.
Anyway, the wind was strong and the drizzle was also tense.
That's why I can't take off my gloves, hoodie, and my eyeglasses.
I also always tried to keep my masker on, unless I want my face freezed.
..and here's our picture in front of Coban Rondo waterfall!

Thank you for reading and..

..goodbye!!!!

*P.S. all credit pictures go to kak susi, kak dewi, cika, etc. Thank you for taking care of me. xoxo
